So, it’s October already. We wouldn’t say that the world of office furniture is overly season-dependent, but you know what we’re like… change does get us thinking. These last few days we seem to have had a bit of a flurry of activity in Buckinghamshire. Now that’s not to say that Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire haven’t been holding their own, because they have, it’s just that Buckinghamshire has been making more of a name for itself. And we’re not complaining; it’s a beautiful county through which to drive.
You’ll have noticed that we focused on Milton Keynes last week, which is obviously a key Buckinghamshire town. But we forgot to mention one of its main features, which is that according to Wikipedia the urban area of Milton Keynes has about 20 million trees. Now that’s quite a few! And it’s not by accident, because the original Development Corporation design concept was for Milton Keynes to be a “City in the Forest”.
But what could Milton Keynes and Buckinghamshire possibly have to do with office furniture?
You know us… do we ever really need a direct link? Of course not. But discovering the City in the Forest did make us think about trees and wood. And what does wood have to do with office furniture? Wood effect finishes!
Therefore, as the leaves will soon be breaking their branchy connections, we will definitely soon be able to see the wood for the trees. Wood effects such as birch, maple, walnut, cherry, beech and even light oak. Sound good? We think so, especially if you’re seeking a natural look to your office décor. Office desks and storage finished in a wood effect veneer may be just what you’re looking for. You can go light or dark. And the grain effect designed into each finish will give your office a natural feel, whilst being robust and easy to keep clean…
Picture this: The open plan part of the office swathed in maple finished desks and pedestals. Bright, light and airy. Then as you walk through to the boardroom, you’re greeted with a sophisticated walnut boardroom table and leather chairs. The executive feel just oozes from the room. This is where serious discussion takes place.
We’ve got you thinking now, haven’t we?
How can CamHam help?
The key is to get your office furniture from one supplier. Us suppliers love the buzz of finding new technology and design. But equally so, we appreciate reliability and a solid base. That’s why, therefore, at Camham when we find a range we like, we tend to stock it for a long period of time. So it’s a good idea to pick one and stick with it. Then, as your business grows, you will have peace of mind that you can extend your office furniture suite to facilitate more staff, keeping everything matching. That keeps it kind on the pocket AND aesthetically pleasing on the eye.
If you like the sound of that then get in touch. We’ll ensure you’re not barking up the wrong tree!
