How does CamHam Office Furniture support the Milton Keynes green dream?
As you’ll probably already know, we have a huge selection of new and used office furniture. We only sell UK sourced and manufactured furniture. And we aim to reuse, resell and/or recycle 90-95% of our used inventory. That’s quite some objective. How do we do it?
1. We reuse as many pieces of office furniture as we can
Our experienced staff will check each item that comes in and refurbish any pieces that are slightly blemished to the highest standard. We will then make it available for purchase.
2. We recycle office furniture that can’t be reused properly
Items that are no longer fit for purpose will be stripped down into their component parts, and then find themselves appropriately recycled through accredited recycling partners.
3. We minimise the use of environmentally-draining packaging
We do this by reusing, whenever possible, packaging material that comes into our depot.
4. We try to schedule our deliveries geographically
Our aim is to keep our delivery mileage to as low a level as possible. We’re based in Northampton but, for example, we’ll aim to batch our office furniture deliveries to Milton Keynes together.
5. We don’t just sell office furniture, we also hire it out
This provides us with an additional outlet for making use of what we gather via office clearances and furniture exchanges.
